About me

Portrait site.JPG

Based in Paris, I am a painter and photographer.

I studied Plastic Arts at the Beaux-Arts in Lima, Peru, and I completed my training with Graphic Design studies at HEAR in Mulhouse.Surrounded by deconstructed, incongruous and disparate landscapes, it was in Lima that my fascination with eclectic, anarchic spaces was born.

This fascinating reality is multiple. The city is electric, capable of arousing curiosity, of stimulating the gaze; this urban reality imposes itself. We perceive the city through our happy or unhappy experiences, our fears and our desires, it hinders and facilitates, it disgusts and fascinates.

There is something magnificent in this chaos. Urban space and architecture have always nourished my practice. Witness to what surrounds me, to show is to analyze the urban complexity made of conflicts and tensions.

I work on the edge of abstraction and figuration, using various mediums, painting and photographed elements. The collage technique allows me to create a plurality of assemblages, a dynamism in my compositions and different levels of reading. I systematically find a creative stimulus in the constraints that I impose on myself, particularly in terms of format, color, material.

I create scenarios for new urban spaces, visual and structural chaos as places of transit where the individual seeks to disappear. My paintings are intended as immobile architectural settings suspended in time and space. I favor visual connections over building narratives.

I have found my own language that helps me express myself. My guiding thread is collage and photography, as well as elements that I deconstruct to build my personal story.
